Fatigue life of unidirectional 90⁰ laminates (UD-90) at different conditions under Tension-Tension loading (R=0.1) are studied. Firstly, the effect of the porosity is evaluated using two different UD-90 laminates cured at different pressures in an autoclave. Secondly, the importance of the surface finishing in UD-90 laminates is studied. And finally, the effect of the frequency is analysed by means of the S-N curves. The results of fatigue life of the different case studies (S-N curves) are considered as the starting point of the current research for the prediction of the onset of transverse cracks in the assessment of different cross-ply laminates under cycling loading. These future studies are going to be developed to analyse the fatigue behaviour of ultrathin plies in the 90⁰ ply of cross-ply laminates with the aim of identifying the scale effect.
