The invention discloses a ballast discharging flow control device for a ballast hopper car. The ballast discharging flow control device for the ballast hopper car comprises a check block, a check block installation base, a transmission shaft and a control lever, wherein the check block is connected with the check block installation base in a rotary mode through a round fixing pin, a check block adjustment hole is formed in the check block, multiple adjustment through holes which correspond to the check block adjustment hole are formed in the check block installation base, when the check block rotates to the position of the check block adjustment hole and corresponds to one adjustment through hole in the check block installation base, the check block is positioned through a bolt assembly, the control lever is fixedly connected with the transmission shaft, the transmission shaft is connected with a ballast discharging bottom door of the ballast hopper car, the transmission shaft rotates until the control lever is in contact with the check block, and gear shifting is stopped at the moment. According to the ballast discharging flow control device for the ballast hopper car, the opening degree of the ballast discharging bottom door is adjusted by controlling the rotation angle of the transmission shaft, multi-gear ballast discharging flow control can be effectively achieved, the work efficiency of the ballast hopper car is improved, and serious waste of redundant ballast is avoided; in addition, ballast discharging flow gears can be selected, and operation safety during ballast discharging through a middle door is guaranteed.
