Development of programming languages and conversational systems in the USSR

The appearance of computers has given rise to a new applied division of modern theory of algorithms programming. This division developed into a science, studying the means of automatic transformation of the most varied types of information, in particular, the means of communication between man and computers, whose spheres of application have broadened continuously, and cover ever new fields o f human activity. Programming is the process of writing programs (prescriptions), defining the order and the form of feasible actions in a certain set (programming language), that must be executed by a suitable processor to solve a Nven problem.
