An electric pressure cooker and a pressure detection circuit thereof. The circuit comprises: a magnetoresistor (1) used for outputting a detection signal, a floater (2) provided with a magnetic substance and triggering the magnetoresistor to generate a sensing signal, and a control chip (3) connected to the magnetoresistor (1) to determine the relationship between the pressure inside the cooker and the pressure outside the cooker according to the sensing signal. The pressure cooker and the pressure detection circuit thereof perform pressure detection by only using the magnetoresistor and the floater provided with the magnetic substance, and thus have simple structure, small size and quick response, can detect the pressure inside the cooker accurately in time, and have high reliability and long service life.
