WAVEGUIDE-COUPLED TWO-DIMENSIONAL PHOTONIC CRYSTALS AS ULTRASENSITIVE OPTICAL VIRUS SENSORS

We report the design, fabrication, and use of a nanocavity-coupled w1 PhC waveguide biosensor for label-free, high sensitivity optical detection of viruses. The device is a promising candidate for lab-on-a-chip analysis of human serum.
