Monitoring the quality of groundwater exploited on the territory of the Republic of Mari El

: Hygienic characteristics of ground water used for drinking water supply of the Republic of Mari El is presented in the article. The features of the quality of ground water in different areas of the country have been revealed, the causes of the deterioration of drinking water which can act as a risk to public health have been shown.
