O2(1Δ) Generator Parameter Effect on the Operation of Coil

The procedure of parameter computation for a singlet oxygen generator (SOG) of the barbotage type is presented. On the basis of this procedure the SOG has been developed, the usage of which in a chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL) allowed to odtain the specific energy outputs ≈3 joules/1 at the optimum oxygen pressure ≈ 5 tor. In the experiments CH3I was used as the atomic iodine donor.
