Las suturas meniscales

2002
Meniscal ruptures are common and develop into more serious processes that require more aggressive surgery. Meniscal sutures have been used successfully in the peripheral third, but their use in the avascular part of the meniscus is debated. The literature was reviewed to analyze the biology of meniscal repair, indications for sutures in meniscal rupture, their mechanical behavior, and associated techniques that can help to conserve meniscal functional without clinical repercussions.
