Isolation and characteristic identification of thermotolerant yeast

Two hundred and twenty seven thermotolerance yeasts were isolated from different materials for fuel ethanol production,in which one strain named h-1 was obtained by preliminary screening,secondary screening and ethanol fermentation.The production rate of ethanol reached 5.5% when fermentation was carried out with strain h-1 at 42℃ for 72h.Strain h-1 was identified as Hansenula Saturnus by microscope inspection,saccharide fermentation,carbon source assimilation,nitrogen source assimilation and vitamin test for its morphological,physiological and biochemical characteristics.
