Nox removing catalyst and nox removing method utilizing the catalyst

PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst capable of efficiently removing NO x and having excellent high-temp. heat resistance by incorporating at least one kind selected from among fluorides of manganese, lead, lithium, rare-earth element and alkaline-earth metal into the catalyst. CONSTITUTION: At least one kind selected from among fluorides of manganese, lead, lithium, rare-earth element and alkaline-earth metal is incorporated into the NO x removing catalyst. At least one kind of metal selected from a group consisting of platinum, palladium, copper, cobalt, nickel and iron is preferably deposited on the fluoride.
