Monte-carlo simulation study on the infrared radiance statistics of bare ground terrain
1994
Abstract A Monte-Carlo simulation method is introduced to study the infrared-radiance statistics of bare ground terrain in a wind field. Our results show that the terrain-material emissivity variation and local wind speed will greatly affect the symmetry features of the distribution of ground temperature.
