Wear-resistant plasma coatings based on a double carbide of titanium and chromium

1986
To obtain comparative data a portion of the powder was plated with nickel, which causes a reduction in decarburization in spraying and creates a plastic binder for the hard carbides in the coating. The particle size composition of the powder was determined by the sieve method on a Rotap-type instrument. The particles were comparatively uniform in size. Approximately 70% are within limits of 50-70 ~m, 20% within limits of 40-50 ~m, and ].0% within limits of 70-100 ~m.
