HΛΛ5 production experiment by use of HΞ−7 production and decay at J-PARC

We outline the concept of a proposed experiment (P75) at J-PARC, whose aim is to investigate the double-Λ hypernucleus HΛΛ5 by using the 7Li(K−, K+) reactions. In particular, the production of HΛΛ5 via the decay of HΞ−7 and decay pion spectroscopy of HΛΛ5 after removing a background from the single-Λ hypernucleus HΛ4 are highlighted.
