상관의 유해한(Toxic) 리더십이 조직 구성원의 이직의도에 미치는 영향 - 지방공기업을 대상으로 -

2017
Research on leadership in the field of organizational behavior has been mainly focused on the positive effects of leadership on the organizational effectiveness. However, the study on the leadership manifested in negative aspects and its consequences has been carried out intermittently in a limited area without any proper attention from academia, despite its practical necessity. Based on the recognition of this problem, this study conducted an empirical analysis through multiple regression analysis, based on the results of the survey on 282 employees in local public enterprises in Korea, and analyzed the effect of toxic leadership(abusive supervision, authoritarianism, narcissism, self-promotion, unpredictability) on the turnover intention of organization members. As a result, it showed that abusive supervision and authoritarianism had a statistically positive effect on the turnover intention of organizational members, and narcissism, self-promotion, unpredictability did not exert any statistically significant effect. Based on the results of this study, measures to practically suppress abusive supervision and authoritarianism among the toxic leaderships of the supervisor and diminish the turnover intention of the organization members are suggested in terms of policy, organizational structure, organizational culture, and individual consciousness respectively.
