Diffusion of Nickel in Binary Alloys of Iron with Nickel, Manganese, and Chromium
1967
AbstractMeasurements have been made of the diffusion rates of nickel in a series of iron-nickel, iron-manganese, and iron-chromium alloys in the f.c.c. phases. Some measurements were also made for the b.c.c. phase of the iron-chromium alloys. The results show the variation in diffusion rates with composition. No anomalies were observed. A negative contribution to the entropy change during the diffusion process is needed to explain the results for the b.c.c. alloys.
