E-mail: ben.rodanski@uts.edu.au Abstract – In this paper we present a brief description of a new method for simplification of symbolic network functions. Our approach is based on utilising the largechange sensitivities, both singleand multi-parameter, in order to select elements to be excluded from the formula. Our technique belongs to the simplification before generation (SBG) group of methods. The main advantage of the described methodology is the small number of network function recalculations and continuous monitoring of network function behaviour during the simplification process. Basic theoretical principles of the method and an illustrative example are presented.
