Blood, Ink and History
2003
AbstractThis article contrasts the recent events in Iraq with the 13th Century sacking of Baghdad by the Mongols. The author draws several parallels between the two, but also highlights one important difference; that this time the presence of journalists meant that the suffering of victims didn’t go unrecorded, and that because of this they are able to present their case to the world.
