PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for suppressing postbrandial GIP and/or postbrandial insulin secretion and having an effect for suppressing the secretion of hormones such as insulin and GIP. SOLUTION: The agent for suppressing postbrandial GIP and/or postbrandial insulin secretion contains cellulose fiber, wherein the cellulose fiber has an average fiber diameter of ≤200 nm and a carboxy group content of the cellulose constituting the cellulose fiber of 0.1-2 mmol/g.
