Stroke is a neurological condition, which may result in long-lasting deficits on both cognitive and motor functions. Despite the increase in cognitive rehabilitation (CR) studies in stroke, most have focused on behavioral outcomes. As such, the interaction between improvement in cognitive processes following CR and their underlying neural systems remains limited.
