Viscous damping steel connector

2015
A viscous damping steel connector can be used to connect assembly type building components with a vibration control requirement, and belongs to the field of civil engineering. The viscous damping steel connector comprises an outer cylinder, an inter cylinder, a piston, an oil hole, a connecting rod and a viscous fluid, the outer cylinder is a cylindrical tube body, one end of the cylindrical tube body is provided with a hole which is connected with a reinforcing bar, the other end is provided with a hole which can be inserted into the inter cylinder, a cavity is clamped between the holes at the two ends, the cavity is fully filled with a viscous fluid, the cavity is in mutual communication with the hole which can be inserted into the inter cylinder, the cavity is separated, by a partition, from the hole which is connected with the reinforcing bar, one end of the inter cylinder is closed, and is provided with a hole which can be fixedly connected with a bar, the other end of the inter cylinder is open; the diameter of the piston and the diameter of the outer cylinder cavity are same, and at least one oil hole longitudinally passes through the piston. When a member is subjected to dynamic load, and relative displacement occurs, the damping force of the viscous fluid in the viscous damping steel connector is generated by the oil hole. The viscous damping steel connector is simple and free in structure, and easy to install, has shock absorption function, and can realize the industrialization.
