EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE DEFORMATION AND LOAD BEARING CAPACITY

The article presents the results of the experimental investigation of the process of deformation of cylindrical shells with circular nonreinforced notches. It is shown that the dependences of the load bearing capacity of shells on the parameters determining the notches (radius and their number) have sections each of which is characterized by wave formation determining the mechanism of failure.
