Provision of high-speed network services

This article presents an outline of the high-speed network that forms the core of the communications infrastructure under the PHOENIX Project. It describes the high-speed network services being planned, the methods for achieving them and the network technologies supporting their provision. The service deployment concept is also explained along with various user applications envisioned for these services.
