Cached content hitting method and communication system

The embodiment of the invention discloses a cached content hitting method and a communication system. The cached content hitting method and the communication system are used for guaranteeing that a billing and monitoring device monitors and billing content accessed by a user. The method comprises the steps that an edge caching device receives and stores a content request message, carrying content identification, from access network equipment; the edge caching device seeks the content corresponding to the content identification in local cached content and sends the content to the access network equipment when it is determined that the content corresponding to the content identification is stored; the edge caching device adds content hitting identification into the content request message and then forwards the content request message to a core caching device; the core caching device sends a response message carrying the content to a cache control device through the billing and monitoring device, wherein the response message carries the content hitting identification; the cache control device discards the content in the response message according to the content hitting identification. According to the cached content hitting method and the communication system, it can be guaranteed that the billing and monitoring device monitors and bills the content accessed by the user.
