Search for exclusive b → u transitions in hadronic decays of B mesons involving Ds+ and Ds∗+ mesons☆

Abstract Using 1.16 × 10 6 B B events collected at the γ(4S) resonance by the CLEO Collaboration at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR), we have searched for decays of B mesons to exclusive two-body hadronic final states including a D s + or a D s ∗+ meson. We obtain the 90% confidence level upper limit β (B → D s (∗)+ π − + D s ∗ +p − + D s (∗)+ π 0 + D s (∗)+ η + D s (∗)+ p 0 + D s (∗)+ (ω) × β(D s + → φπ + ) −5 . We have also searched for the W -exchange decays, B 0 → D s (∗)− K (∗)+ .
