Los dermatoglifos en la población escolar de Navarra

The authors describe the results obtained following the study of finger and palm prints of 941 normal students ( 469 males and 472 females) from various schools in Pamplona (Navarra). In accordance with the method of Cummins and Midlo (1961) and Penrose (1968), the following parameters were analysed : Finger prints, pattern intensity, variety of finger pat- ., terns in the same subject, triradius t, atd angle, main lines, transversality index, main line index, modal types of D line, modal types of C line, patterns in palmar areas and flexion creases. After comparing the data from this work with those obtained by other authors, it was concluded thad the group studied had the general characteristics of Caucasians but with certain peculiarities.
