A novel binary adjustable contracting nozzle comprises a round-to-square barrel, a fixed plate of a rotational flow blade structure, the rotational flow blade structure, a side wall, a nozzle outer cover, an actuator cylinder, a connecting rod mechanism and a contracting adjusting plate. The front end of the round-to-square barrel is connected with an engine, and the round-to-square barrel is adopted as a supporting component of the whole nozzle. A contracting adjusting mechanism is composed of the actuator cylinder, the connecting rod mechanism and the contracting adjusting plate. The actuator cylinder is arranged on the side wall, the front end of the actuator cylinder is mechanically connected to the outer wall of the side wall, and the rear end of the actuator cylinder is connected with the connecting rod mechanism through a rotary pair. The connecting rod mechanism is connected with the middle section of the outer side of the contracting adjusting plate through a rotary pair. The actuator cylinder stretches out and draws back, and the connecting rod mechanism drives the contracting adjusting plate to adjust the area of an outlet. The novel binary adjustable contracting nozzle has the advantages that the adjusting range of the area of a throat channel of the conventional binary nozzle is guaranteed, the good hiding capacity is achieved, the defect of a traditional binary adjustable contracting nozzle and a conventional binary plug type adjustable contracting nozzle is overcome, and meanwhile, the size of the outer contour is small, and high reliability is achieved.
