Kinestatic Analysis of Full-Vehicle Model in a Cornering Maneuver

Roll motion of the vehicle is important for the design of the vehicle. In this paper, the roll motion of the vehicle in a cornering maneuver is studied using the Jacobian approach. Introducing the mechanism of the ground-wheel model, the suspension model and the full-vehicle model is first derived. Next the instantaneous twist of the roll motion is determined. Finally, the roll motion of the full-vehicle model is simulated by Matlab.
