Synthese und Kristallstruktur eines zweikernigen Ylid‐Komplexes mit Metall‐Metall‐Bindung zwischen Goldatomen der Oxidationsstufe + II1)

Die aus dem [Diathylphosphonium-bis(methylido)]gold(I)-Dimeren 4 und aquimolaren Mengen Chlor, Brom oder Jod erhaltlichen Verbindungen 5a–c besitzen nach analytischen und spektroskopischen Daten sowie nach einer an 5a durchgefuhrten Rontgenstrukturanalyse eine bicyclische Struktur mit transannularer, auffallend kurzer Gold-Gold-Bindung (259.7 pm). Die nur durch einen sehr kurzen Abstand getrennten Metalle besitzen formal die Oxidationsstufe +II. Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Binuclear Ylide Complex with Metal-Metal Bonding between Gold Atoms in the Oxidation State + II1) The [diethylphosphoniumbis(methylido)]gold(I) dimer 4 reacts with one equivalent of chlorine, bromine, or iodine to give a series of compounds 5a–c, for which a bicyclic structure with a remarkably short transannular gold-gold bond (259.7 pm) is demonstrated by means of analytical and spectral data as well as by an X-ray analysis of 5a. The two metals of formal oxidation state +II are separated by a very short distance.
