Measurement of Spatial Time-Of-Flight Fluctuations of Ultrasound Pulses Passing Through Inhomogeneous Layers
1987
In order to gain data for computer simulations and for imaging e xperiments spatial time-of-flight fluctuations of ultrasound pulses p assing through inhomogeneous layers have been m easured. The measurements were performed with samples (in vitro) of the human abdominal wall from the region in front of the liver. The statistics o f the measured values are evaluated. Additional measurements were performed with samples of the liver. These results are compared with those obtained from the abdominal uall.
