Genetic variants of immune-related genes IL17F and IL10 are associated with functional dyspepsia: A case–control study

Background Low-grade inflammation may play an important role in pathogenesis of functional dyspepsia (FD). Since cytokines may influence gastric mucosal inflammation, which is associated with FD, we evaluated singe nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of pro-inflammatory IL17F and anti-inflammatory IL10 cytokine genes in patients with FD and healthy subjects (HS).
