El hierro en los yacimientos de Navalvillar y Navalahija (Colmenar Viejo), durante la antigüedad tardía. siglos VII y VIII D. C.

The results of the X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analyzes of samples from the Navalvillar and Navalahija archaeological sites in the Dehesa de Navalvillar, Colmenar Viejo, have contributed to support the hypotheses on the production of iron, from the magnetite, in these mountain villages, with a chronology between the VII-VIII century AD. Oven walls, rocks with minerals rich in iron, slag fragments produced during the iron production and some objects made of this metal, have been the samples of this work.
