Change in health behavior of adolescents drugs addicts in Makassar.

Abstract Objective To analyze healthy behavioral changes of drugs-affected adolescents during the rehabilitation process. Methods This research employed descriptive qualitative research with purposive sampling method and was carried out at BNN Baddoka Makassar as National Rehabilitation Center. Results The drug users, aging of 17–23 years old, are exposed to drugs due to the social gap and the involvement of deviant behavior within themselves, their environment, education, family, and close relatives. Also, their rehabilitation process forms a new healthy paradigm for them, both externally and internally. Internally, it includes managing psychological health very well, being not manipulative, pray diligently, and increasing healthy physical condition. Externally, it includes awareness or sensitivity between people, the ability to listen to directions and instructions, and being open to better changes. Conclusion The rehabilitation process, carried out socially and medically, form a new healthy paradigm at the life turning point of drug users, both externally and internally.
