A Direct Parametric Approach to Attitude Tracking Control for Disturbed Satellite

A direct parametric approach to satellite attitude tracking control is proposed in this technical note. First of all, a second-order error model for satellite attitude is established by quaternion. The unknown disturbance of the satellite is observed using a nonlinear disturbance observer. Then, the controller is designed based on a direct parametric approach. A numerical example is provided to prove the control method based on the direct parametric method can track on a mobile target with external disturbance.
