Polarizer-Free AOTF-Based Spectral Imaging System

We address anisotropic acousto-optic (AO) filtration for spectral imaging applications. The design algorithm for polarizer-free AOTF optical system is described. The proper geometry of AO cell provides smaller and cheaper spectral imager implementation. The optical characteristics of the system are discussed.
