Clinical Observation of 172 Cases of Secondary Pulmonary Tuberculosis in the Early Treatment with Shuangbai Koufu Ye

Objective To explore the clinical therapeutic effect and safety of shuangbai koufu ye on the secondary pulmonary tuberculosis of qi and yin deficiency pattern in the early treatment.Methods Three hundred and twenty-four cases of secondary pulmonary tuberculosis of qi and yin deficiency pattern in the early treatment were randomized into a trial group(172 cases) and a control group(152 cases).2HREZ /4HR chemotherapy was applied in the two groups.In the treatment group,on the basis of treatment as the trial group,shuangbai kofu ye was added.The duration of treatment was 6 months.The sputum smear and liver function were tested every month.The chest X-ray film was taken once every two months.The Chinese medicine syndrome score was evaluated.Results In the treatment of 1 ～ 6 months,the negative conversion ratio of sputum bacteria was not different in comparison between two groups statistically(P 0.05).The differences in the apparent absorption rate of lung shadow and absorption rate were significant statistically in the patients between the two groups(P 0.05).The cavity closure rate was not different significantly between the two groups(P 0.05).The differences in the curative and effective rate and the effective rate were significant statistically between the two groups(P 0.01,P 0.05).The difference in the toxic side reactions was significant statistically between the two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion Shuangbai koufu ye achieves the significant clinical efficacy on secondary pulmonary tuberculosis of qi and yin deficiency pattern in the early treatment and it is the safe therapy.
