The domestic design for sleepers is applied KR C-14030(Ballasted Track Structure). In KR C-14030, the design load is calculated by using only the track quality factor for all the track components as well as the sleepers. However, design standards such as UIC 713R or prEN 13230-6 propose specific design methods for sleepers. In this design method, in order to derive the RSL(rail seat load), factors such as train speed, load distribution, sleeper support defects, and rail pad attenuation are considered. In order to accurately derive the RSL determined by these various conditions, it is necessary to compare and analyze with the RSL of the service line, but it is very difficult to measure the RSL through field measurement. Therefore, in this study, the load acting on the rail seat area of the sleepers was derived by using the wheel load measuring method. These results are expected to be applicable to evaluate the design loads of the sleeper.
