The embodiment of the invention provides an update processing method, a server and a client device. The scheme applied to the server can allocate a temporary identity to the client device; record user operation behavior information according to the temporary identity carried in user operation behavior indication information sent from the client device to enable the user operation behavior information to correspond to the temporary identity; and when the user operation behavior information is updated, perform update processing according to the temporary identity. The update processing method can allocate the temporary identity to the client device; record the user operation behavior information according to the temporary identity and perform corresponding on the user operation behavior information; and when the user operation behavior information is updated, perform the update processing according to the temporary identity. Therefore, when sending the user operation behavior information to the server, the client device can simply use the temporary identity instead of a device identity of the client device. The update processing method, the server and the client device improves the safety of the transmission and the update of the user operation behavior information under the premise of not needing user login.
