Curcuma xanthorrhiza (Java tumeric) in clinical use

The rhizome of Curcuma xanthorrhiza has been used for medical purposes for hundreds of years. A related plant, but which contains other constituents, is C. domestica, which is used in the manufacture of curry powder.
