Reflectarray Antenna with Backfire Patch Antenna

In this paper, we propose a high gain antenna in 28 GHz frequency band by using reflectarray antenna structure. For the primary radiator, we propose a backfire structure that feeds the patch antenna from the front using a semi-rigid cable. This structure has high gain charactaristic and easy to fabricate, and show that it is practical as a small antenna base station for 5th generation mobile communication system.
