Fan rib type deployable mesh antenna for satellite use

Abstract This paper presents a design for satellite-borne 3.5 m deployable mesh reflector for the Japanese maritime satellite communication system. The features of this antenna are compactness, lightness and high deployment reliability. The measured characteristics for the engineering model are also given.
