Magnesium Oxide-loaded Nickel on Al2O3 as a Steam Reforming Catalyst

2007
The steam reforming characteristics of a nickel catalyst supported by MgO and Al 2 O 3 were investigated. It was found that deactivation of the steam reforming catalyst over ten thousand hours of reaction occurs due to sintering, sulfur poisoning, and carbon deposition. These results are consistent with data obtained from hydrogen production reactors.
