The invention relates to equipment for riding through a testing platform at low voltage on the low-voltage side, which comprises an isolating unit, a falling unit and a control unit, wherein the input end of the isolating unit is connected with a high-voltage fence; the isolating unit is used for providing power for the equipment and enabling the equipment to be isolated from the high-voltage fence; the output end of the isolating unit is connected with the falling unit which is connected with the control unit; and the control init is used for controlling each phase of the falling unit to output normal high voltage or low falling voltage so as to pass through the output end of the equipment to test a current transformer. The invention also correspondingly provides a method for riding through the testing platform at low voltage on the low-voltage side. By using the equipment and the method, fence faults can be simulated on the low-voltage side so as to simulate high-voltage output in normal state and low-voltage output in a falling state; the symmetrical and asymmetrical fallings can be realized by controlling switches on different phases; and meanwhile, the requirement for various standards on the fence faults can be simulated by adjusting the time.
