Sorption of certain radioactive isotopes by alkylammonium salts of heteropoly acids from aqueous solutions

1975
The sorption of /sup 91/Y, /sup 95/Zr(Nb), and /sup 106/Ru was studied as a function of the pH of the solution. It was found that the sorption of /sup 89/Sr by alkylbenzyldimethylammonium phosphotungstate is described by the Henry isotherm. An influence of the time of ''maturation'' of the precipitates of alkylammonium salts of heteropoly acids on the sorption of /sup 89/Sr was detected. It was established that raising the temperature from 50 to 90/sup 0/C has practically no influence on the extraction of /sup 89/Sr by alkylbenzyldimethylammonium phosphotungstate and decreases the absorption of this isotope by alkylbenzyldimethylammonium phosphomolybdate.
