Einfluss der LDL-Apherese auf die Plaqueentstehung und -stabilität anhand der Konzentrationsbestimmung von Biomarkern

2012
LDL-apheresis is thought to exert anti-atherosclerotic effects beyond LDL-cholesterol and Lp(a) reduction. We observe 22 patients undergoing regular LDL-apheresis on a weekly basis by one of the following procedures: DALI (n=6), HELP (n=6) or double filtration plasmapheresis (DFPP; n=10). Biomarkers of endothelia nflammatio IL-1s, IL-6, TNF-α hsCRP), cellula IL-2R), plaque destabilization (ADMA, sVCAM, MMP-9) and rupture (PAPP-A), and myocardial stretch (NT-proANP, NT-proBNP) are quantified before (AP) and after (EP) LDL-apheresis. Additionally we recruit for the markers hsCRP, ADMA MMP-9 er groups first group includes healthy patients with no medication or diseases (n=15). The second grou consists patients with the same diseases an medikation like the apheresi , but without indication for LDL-apheresis (n=20). LDL-apheresis has no influenc o th
