Use of infrared thermography to detect heat stress in dairy cows

2021
The aim of the study was to investigate the possibility of using infrared thermography (IRT) as a tool for early and rapid detection of heat stress in dairy cows. According to the values of the temperature-humidity index (THI), the cows are divided into three groups. Thermography images of the udders were also taken, from which their surface temperatures (UST) were extracted with specialized software. The data were processed and analyzed statistically.
