This communication is intended to describe the phase of the elderly and ways of understanding aging from retirement age actively. To do this a successful example of the participation of the elderly in society, where attempts and desire to develop changes in the environment or the community they live detailed prevail. It discusses how has emerged the initiative of a club for the elderly, the profiles of the people in it, the initiatives implemented, and the actions they perform related to the cognitive processes that result in a common project, to propose ideas for improve the region where they were born.
