This study concerns a resistant system constituted of a stratified halfspace, comparable to a continuum composed of materials having various physical and mechanical properties, but which internally, behave approximately as homogeneous isotropic elastic media, with an elastic phase and a successive distinct plastic phase. An attempt is made to determine at each point of the stratified halfspace, the state of stress and deformation due to fixed conditions at the contour. /TRRL/
