11770 - Riqueza florística nos quintais agroflorestais da comunidade rural Cabeça Branca no Município de Sumé, Paraíba Floristic richness in the homegardens by rural community Cabeça Branca in the Municipal of Sumé, Paraíba State

The aim was to study the floristic composition in the homegardens in the semiarid region of the state of Paraiba. The survey was carried in the Community Cabeca Branca (S07°31"10.5 e WO 36°56"03.4). Monthly visits were accomplished in the period of august of 2010 to july of 2011, being characterized the floristic in the 11 homegardens of the community. In the areas a total of 104 species was registered. 24 were defined as native species and 80 exotic. The families present in higher number of species and genuses were Fabaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Anacardiaceae. Thus, the floristic composition indicate a great importance of the homegardens in the conservation of the resources of the biodiversity in the context of the Semiarid region.
