Untersuchungen zur Klärschlammbehandlung in Bodenkörperfilterkammern

1995
Solid substances filter chambers are components of small scale water purification plants and serve mainly for the biological elimination of the remaining contamination after a previous anaerobe biological degradation. Microbial examinations of gravel samples from different plants showed at plants with high loading a rapid increase in microbial biomass. For the removal of the excessive biomass some chemical as well as biochemical methods were tested. A successful and effective method for the elimination of the bacterial biomass is the treatment with hydrogenperoxid solution. "In situ" trials showed that the application of hydrogenperoxid is practicable. Most of the biomass was removed with the active agents and a perfect passage of the water was guaranteed
