Rate constants for the reaction of atomic chlorine with dimethyl peroxide from 220 to 330 K

Abstract Absolute rate constants tor the reaction of Cl + CH 3 OOCH 3 have been measured (220–330 K) bv flash photolysis-resonance fluorestence (FP-RF). The results may be described in terms of expressions which indicate a slight negative temperature dependence, however, a simple temperature-independent average of the results is also adequate k = (1.20 ± 0.26) × 10 −1 cm −3 molecule −1 s −1 .
